Phil has played with East of Java for the past 11 years.  He is a highly sought after bass player, writer and teacher. Playing and touring with many well known bands and artists including  Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet, member of The Keith Emerson band Project, ABC, Go West, Kim Wilde, Gary Barlow, Paul Young, Curtis Stigers, Vonda Shephard, Squeeze, Belinda Carlisle, Rick Wakeman, to name just a few. His skillful playing can be heard on the Lick Library Bass Legends DVD series also on numerous film and TV soundtracks . He also performs dep Bass Guitar duties in 'We Will Rock You' in London’s West End. He has written for various publications inc. Rhythm mag and Guitar Player mag. For the past 12 years He has been a clinician and endorsee for Yamaha Bass guitars and equipment.
